Synopsis: Domestic violence is a social fact. 140 women died in 2009 beaten by their partners. The director Laëtitia Moreau followed during 3 months -within the SOS women association in Marseille- some women who have been violently abused, sometimes for several years. In this film Christine, Sandrine, Sarah et Elisabeth describe the violences they endured, the circle in wich they were locked, and the shame of beeing abused. Each time the director ask the same question: How did you manage to leave? Without no exception, each woman left when they had the feeling that the next violence outburst would be fatal for her.
